Crap knockoff. You want quality go with APEC....!!! Built quality, installation guide and support are phenomenal. Used APEC systems for the last 10 yrs with ZERO complaints.
Rolleyes, found the APEC rep.

This filter works just fine. Have one in the guest house and the water is crystal clear and delicious.

Whats the deal with replacement cartridges for these things? Is it all generic things you can pick up on amazon? Or is this something that will be obsolete when this company goes out of business

Most are standard sized filters, as these companies dont actually make the filters, they simply buy them, and create kits.

also same price on amazon, and mixed reviews.

Pretty good deal. for reference, RODI systems are used in marine aquaria pretty regularly and this is about that price. the storage tank and faucet for the same price isn't bad.

I have this one with the pump ( https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ukoke-...ected=true) which I think is a better deal.... works well but dont trust the instructions! Help can be found in the amazon reviews.... especially the need for 2 O-rings on the first 3 filters

If you lose power, will the system work without the pump turning on?

If you have a full tank of RO water, that will be useable without the pump. Refilling the tank with RO water while the pump is not working will either happen slowly or not at all, depending on the water pressure in your area.

No... but you still have water in the tank. If you were worried about an extended power outage it would be simple to bypass the pump

The more stages, the more cost for filters.

Lost power for 2 weeks strait in the pass after a bad hurricane. I don't think that tank can last for 2 weeks. Was hoping it still can filter while the pump is none functional.

How to bypass the pump? need to rewire?
