Bought it last weekend, turned out to be a bad TV on the functioning side.
Cons:
Turns on automatically after it being left turned off (especially at night).
YouTube app doesn't work even when connected through Ethernet (shows a black screen when accessing the app and its unresponsive)
WiFi tends to cut on and off (tested with built-in streaming apps, however the issue stops when using an Ethernet connection)
When words or colors are illuminated it leaves sort of a noticeable white glow around it (first time owning a VA panel so not sure if this is normal or just my unit)
Pros:
This TV has a good VA panel. The colors pop (with literally little to no calibration) and the colors are accurate. The blacks are nice and family thinks it looks fantastic when watching at night. Verified 60hz 4K and tested this using PS4 Pro and an Nvidia Shield.
We decided to return it, it's not functioning across the board and we went with a Samsung instead. I can see why it would be on sale. Then again it could just be my unit, however I did see articles on Vizio's website pertaining to the TV turning on automatically when left unused and certain built-in apps like YouTube not working so they appear to be common issues.
Did you by chance see if this behavior was occurring with the TV not connected to the network? I am curious if the TV was performing some update in the background which was causing it to reboot, or if there was some Wake-on-LAN (WOL) packets being sent by another device on your network.
Bought this during BF sale for 599 but then had to return it due to light bleed at the bottom right corner. While I had the TV it was great for 4K content but upscaling was poor when using Vizio native Smartcast. If you are going to use an Apple TV or Firestick it should be fine but it could be annoying as you have to switch inputs after turning on the TV. Great TV for the new price and can even get 3 additional years of warranty for $35 at Costco.

I debated for a while and decided to go with Samsung instead Vizio. Vizio has too much problems. The PX series screen might be brighter but too much problem with other things. Go look at Samsung Q70r
I bought the 75" during BF and returned it a few days after because it turning on and off while watching. Apparently there was some issue with the HDMI port.

Big difference in price for a small boost in quality

THis or the 2018 TCL 65R13? My costco has both in stock for $499. My main dilemma is the Vizio is only 600 nit compared to almost 1000 for TCL? I heard you need more brightness for good HDR display?
The TCL has better brightness and more dimming zones. I have the 55" TCL and it's a great set. For an extra $35 I have it warrantied for 7 years.

Mine doesn't have the first three issues you mentioned.
What you mean Q70 is cheaper than PX? 900 vs 1000
Samsung has VVR, HDR+, superior upscaling, no banding, no blooming, better quality, better warranty, cable management, free sync
Vizio has all these issues plus sluggish smart features. The only thing going for Vizio is a bright panel and Dolby vision.
If hdr+ fails in the future, Samsung can always update its firmware to include DV.

They must have added the PX after I was comparing the Vizio M with the Q70. They're fairly close spec wise but the M is much cheaper.
The PX is much better than the Q70 though I've seen it for $899.99 earlier if another sale comes up on it. Vizio does HDR+ now too after an update. The scaling is better on the Samsung I agree, though it's on 720p and below content. I gave up cable and the majority of what I watch is at least 1080p now so it's not a big issue. VRR kind of has limited application. Both the Vizio and Samsung have DSE / banding

I had the same problem until I changed one of the boot up settings. On ECO mode it would frequently do this. When I switched it to QUICKSTART the problem resolved.
Purchased this (M658) on black Friday and sent it back a month ago. It is a great display paired with a horrible underpowered processor. Couldn't stand the perversive sluggishness.

The built in stuff is trash, why wouldn't you just go with a 4K FireTV?
