Would have been cool if it covered the whole bed and you could open your rear window and maybe turn the truck heat on to warm up the tent area.
I think they meant the truck cabin heat, not the exhaust...

Anyone used this? Do the straps scuff the paint? I've been looking at this one and the kodiak, but the straps concern me a little.

I bought one a while back and love the thing. As for scuffs, they could after prolonged use. They do offer covers for the straps, if that is a concern.

I guess the exhaust could seep in...I didn't think about that aspect but i wasn't saying hook your exhaust up to the tent to heat it.

I'd be worried about this in the rain. The side toward the cab looks like it would shunt water in to the bed of the truck creating a pool of water. Unless the rear of the truck is at least slightly below the front you're going to be swimming. Even then you'd need a bed liner with grooves to allow the water to drain away, a spray in bed liner won't cut it.

I hadn't noticed that on this one. Most of the designs I've been looking at cover the front of the bed to keep that from happening. Seems like an oversight on design.

I got it. Just remember you're sleeping in an enclosure just above the exhaust system. Hope a nice breeze is evacuating the carbon monoxide. The truck needs to be running it's combustion engine to produce the heat for the heater.

Some of the reviews on various site look like the poles may fracture easily. So not sure this really stands out from others in the price range.
