I've also dropped mine off a 20' lift and watched it bounce. The rubber on the face had a split, but no broken parts or stress fractures in the plastic. Just the perfect light for a job site.
All that said, these were $80 not to long ago and the light is normally $99. That $250 is way overinflated. Guess it just depends on if you really want a battery.
This light new (bare tool) on ebay is selling for $50-80 just FYI.
