guess there are plenty? Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) of non-X570 boards with that capability - that's pretty much all Intel boards
this is also still 3X faster than any SATA SSD and compares well w/ the P1 and 660p

do some research before barking

Agreed SR71. In addition, this is NVMe not SATA. Why do idiots respond when they dont know what they are talking about. You dont like it, dont buy it and move on. Stop spouting garbage.

Is this compatible with a Z97 mobo with "M.2 PCI Express module up to Gen2 x2 (10 Gb/s)"? I know this is Gen 3x4, but hopefully there's backwards compatability.

it's compatible, and will max out the X2 - so it's a good use case
