Yes you're missing the "87w Power Delivery" part of it. The 24w and 30w PD chargers posted recently from Anker and RAVpower will not properly charge USB C charged laptops/computers. You generally need 45w at minimum to charge and use your computer. At 30w, your device will lose battery even while plugged in and when you're not using it, it will charge quite slowly. 87 watts is bonkers and you don't ever have to worry about whether that's enough for virtually any device on the market.

Your typical Android smartphone fast charges with power delivery at 18w and 18w is enough to charge and play on a Nintendo Switch for example. I believe Apple also includes an 18w charger with the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. If you look up 87 watt chargers you'll see they're quite expensive, especially if you lose the one your MacBook Pro and look for a replacement from Apple. This Monoprice charger is an incredible value but it is definitely targeted at people that need to charge their laptops and not people charging a tablet/smartphone and a few other small devices.
Qc is Qualcomm tech from before pd standard was released by the usb-if. USB-PD is power delivery. USB-IF means implementers foundation, the group that approves pd products and does tests on them.
As stated before it supplies up to 87W on the USB-C port. That's why it's more expensive. If you can make do with 30W, then the other ones are for you.

I received a thunderbolt hub a few months back from monoprice that failed just outside the return window. It used be that they offered really great deals on reliable stuff across the board, but I'm starting to think the quality is substandard for these kinds of mid level accessories. I find that the numerous options on Amazon offer a better price/performance lately (Anker, etc.)

Unit is Power Delivery 3.0 & USB-IF certified, not a bad price for an 87 W USB-C charger

I am skeptical of utility. The USB charging ports are NOT Quick Charge compatible it seems. Why go through all this trouble, put out a big heavy brick on your desk/stand etc and ultimately slow down your charging rates. Maybe I am missing something or maybe this is a poorly thought out product?

There are two standards power delivery and quick charge... I thought PD was primarily apple products...

Still to high compared to Anker and Ravpower. Should be 20 bucks no more with tax

Still primarily gonna be in flagship phones.. until these older gen flagship phones come down in price, consumer uptake will be limited. IMO, majority of consumers are not interested in paying $400+ for a phone every 1-2 years

But PD isn't that important for phones. The high wattage PD is for larger devices like tablets, laptops, and some drones. Things with big batteries that need to be charged in similar amount of time

Thought I've seen it on latest iphones/tablets using 60w fast PD charge..
