Well I'm going to get off my soap box now. Thanks for taking the time to read all this. Thanks.
- The remotes have different shortcut buttons. not sure if it varies by store or when they change them. all three of my sticks have different shortcut buttons. The most recent came around Christmas and from Sam's Club. That one had a shortcut button for Disney+ which is useful for us.
- all of my Roku sticks run off of USB power from the TVs. They only take a few seconds to boot up and ensures they don't keep running after the TV is off.
- The remotes use Wi-Fi direct to communicate with the Roku stick. from time to time it can get interference from your Wi-Fi network. The workaround is to change the channels for your Wi-Fi network. Also, because they use Wi-Fi direct battery life is rather short. I keep sets of AAA rechargeable batteries around just for the remote. Battery life for me is around three months.

No...the Stick+ was typically $50 with occasional sales at $35-40. This is a decent price. This model has faster hardware then the cheap $20 roku express's and the non 4k roku's. If I didn't already have roku built into my tv's now I'd be considering it. Avoid the roku's that use infrared and make sure you get a rf remote so you don't have to be trying to point at a certain location to get it to respond.
Everyone asking questions should START with a google search. One of the first results:

They probably don't know the difference between the plus and on-plus models.
