It is a good for a home desktop replacement, probably for older people as 17.3" 1080P display is easy for them to see. Also, old school DVD-RW.
However, quality wise, don't expect much. HP 15 or HP17 is their bottom of the line product, even below the Pavilion series. For normal users, it lacks modern ports like USB TYpe-C.

17z..............not to be confused with their high end ZBook 17 workstations.
the standard 1600x900 is touchscreen but the 1080 upgrade isnt touchscreen?
why???
why cant i find a 17.3" 1080p touchscreen laptop?
Normally these budget laptops use widely available mass produced displays and for budget laptops, 17 inch 1600x900 TN touch panels are pretty common and widely available. But 17.3" IPS Touchscreen laptop screens are not that common and the accommodation cost is probably higher for this kind of budget laptops.
I was thinking about this for my wife who is now working from home. The ship on date is currently April 10 so wouldn't get this delivered four weeks or more so that kills it for me.
