Thanks OP!
Also, during this time I have been doing a lot of my gear shopping at Sierra where prices are very low along with CB.
At least they completely stopped and apologized. Still prefer not to shop there, but they could have handled things way worse

They definitely sell at MSRP/MAP. Nothing at REI is inflated. Other retailers might sell under MSRP, but REI doesn't sell over.
However, 20% off an outlet item, that can be more useful, problem being that they go an artificially raise all the outlet prices a bit to offset the savings. For example, there was a sweet collapsable table that was 35% off yesterday, and now it is 20% off instead, so in the end you'd really only be saving around 5% difference...
EDIT: Also, the current $20 off $100 is a better deal for many, as it allows you to get 20% off a lot more products if they add up to $100 (and not much past that). If you're trying to buy a $600 sleeping bag, then a single 20% discount is certainly more beneficial, but for most of us who at this time are purchasing essential survival items, and not a North Face jacket...the current deal that expires today is better.

20% off full price coupons only happen a couple times a year.
