Bought one of these a few days ago.

Note this isn't your typical blender. It's got heating elements inside the base that make it hand wash only. It's pretty large and industrial looking too.

I've used it a dozen or so times and it's been able to blend everything I throw at it. Really good with ice. Apparently it can cook your soups but I've not really tested nor intend on using that feature.

Have it - bought it for $45 from Walmart. Love the blender, and it makes greaaaaat soups, especially butternut squash. Just put everything in, and push one button.

Only annoying this is that it's huge - won't fit under the countertop. And, you can't put the pitcher in the dishwasher (which also weighs a lot).
