Newegg has MSI GE Series GE65 Raider-432 15.6" 144 Hz IPS Intel Core i7 9th Gen 9750H (2.60 GHz) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 16 GB Memory 512 GB NVMe SSD Windows 10 Home 64-bit Gaming Laptop on sale for $949.00 after rebate
This seems like a really good deal. Dunno why there are no comments and so few likes...has it been substantially cheaper before? I have a hard time believing that. This is comparable to higher end models from Asus, Alienware, as well as MSI themselves (vs the GS65 Stealth, it's trading some portability for better cooling and power).
If someone can point toward a better current deal for a 1660ti mid-high end tier laptop, I'm all ears.
Why do manufactures still place the touch pad off the the left. MOST ppl are right handed, if anything they should've placed it on the right so the wrist won't accidentally touch it.
That been said, most laptop comes with touchpad lock shortcut now so it's not big deal.

I think ppl actually halted their plan to buy laptop bcs of AMD4000 APU. You may have heard it. Amd announced CES 2020 their new line up has huge improvement in performance per tdp. G14 was absolute badass.

More like everyone simply stop spending and using what they already have.

I agree, but there will be some inevitable panic buying too for those who suddenly have to work from home but the home laptop is unsuitable (pron)... or some OTHER reason.. notice b&m prices spiked higher because one can't really haggle a price now in a crisis because 15 people on line will buy at the higher price. Welcome to the greed part of the economy. Microcenter started raising prices mid month on certain laptops...Best buy too!
I'd like to add that this new msi chassis has some defects. I bought a laptop 2 months a go then it turned out the screen had some backlight bleed on the edges. So, I returned it and got my money back. You can look it up

They are actually centering it on the QWERTY portion of the keyboard for most common use case ergonomics. Since most people are used to moving their hands back from the home row to use the touch pad. If this didn't have a full number pad it would probably be centered on the laptop chassis itself as the QWERTY portion of the keyboard would be as well.
Hate rebates.. one thing I hate about newegg. I'll never screw with a rebate again.
Newegg has been going downhill for since it was bought out by a chinese company years ago You can get a good price sometimes still. But the service is lacking and they are resistant to legitimate returns. They sold me counterfeit Samsung charging cord did not want to let me return becuase "it works", yeah at 2amp but not with smart charging.

Most likely not. This would probably be the absolute worst time to try to claim a mail in rebate.
