I know what sounds like noob logic, but I mean.. the 1.8 will generally give equal or better results if you stop down this 1.4 to 1.8... so you really need to have that next bit of skill to make it worth it.

50 mm on 135/ "full frame" is normal. 50 mm on APS is a short portrait. wide angle on 135/"full frame" starts at 28 mm and gets wider as the focal length gets smaller.

Their web sells 3 and 5 years Mack warranties. Typically those are sold with gray market items together. Nikon USA lens comes with 5 years warranty itself. So either way, they are scamming people. I just don't trust this type of shops, authorized or not.
