I was just at Costco tonight. This TV is $1299 without GC. Why bother with SquareTrade if credit card already doubles the 2 year warranty? Last week it was $1349. Where is the deal?

Also the SquareTrade rebate was there too.

are you sure? $1299 seems to be the price for B9, not C9. If the C9 is $1299 at costco with free square coverage and an additional year of warranty by virtue of buying through costco, that's a pretty awesome deal. That TV is like $1499 on amazon.

You're correct - according to the Costco website, C9 1449.99, B9 1299.99.

Burn in is a rare issue. I have 2 OLEDs one is over 5 years old and the other is 4 years old with no signs of burn in at all. Ita extremely difficult to burn in these sets.

ST warranty also doesnt cover burn in so it's worthless.

Only the Beat Buy GS warranties cover burn-in

I was just in Costco store and the 55 c9 is 1299.99$ with free trade square warranty. I know this because I bought one. Looks like they are not doing the 150 Costco cash card and instead are just discounting the tv to 1299.99 in stores.

Great intel. So the real question is, when does LG refresh their product line with the BX, CX, etc for 2020? Because right before then is when the real deals will happen. $1299 for a 55" C9 is a pretty good deal, that is black friday pricing on the B9 if I recall correctly (maybe it was $1199, but still). I've had my eye on a C9 for a while and would love to upgrade my several year old Samsung.

Yup, that was the black friday price. So this means the discounts are starting to get better again in advance of the 2020 launch.
