anyone who buys straight from apple nowadays is a chump. A lot of retailers usually sell it for $50 off, so I rather wait to buy now
Yeah even i was surprised to see this. This takes the price difference to prev gen model on sale to $50. Extra 2gb ram and camera upgrades makes it a no brainer.
I'll consider an iPad again once it can definitively replace a Mac. (I've owned the first generation and upgraded it a few times, but simply stopped using it once Apple released Plus-sized iPhones.)
I have heard a late 2020 ipad pro is expected with their new screen tech which is interesting.
I'm still using a 2017 12.9 pro so previous body with finger sensor and very happy with it. While apple is innovating I guess none of it has interested me.

I do take my ipad to conferences and use it for writing notes. Goodnotes is amazing. 12.9 is large enough to have powerpoint or safari on half the screen while taking notes on the other half.

Agreed. Considering last upgrade was in 2018, I was kinda expecting new screen on 2020 version. I guess might happen towards end of the year or early next year now. I hope they don't dramatically increase the price point though. We'll have to wait and watch.

I could see myself finally replacing my 2012 Retina MacBook Pro with an iPad Pro in the future, but it may be few years away. Meanwhile I'm considering the new MacBook Air but the performance is about on par with my MBP.
