Hate it when I try to post and internet not working and 2 boys running around and hitting my hands. My boys are 2 and close to 4, and the suggested age are 6+, do I really have to wait that long?

Getting these guns won't help you much. They most likely will need you to cock it everytime, plus they will complain about lost darts...

do your kids try to eat everything they touch? Or have you taught them not to try to swallow small objects? Age range is parental discretion obviously. They recommend a minimum because some folks don't teach their kids basics.

If you need darts, the 200 darts with case is highly recommended. They are high quality and priced very well, plus you get a carrying case.

They're a little shorter and a few millimeters thicker than standard Nerf darts.

So they're not compatible with Nerf darts?

Have guns from both this brand and nerf. These definitely pack more punch than their nerf counterparts!

They are compatible. Tried them old DartTags, Vulcan and others, Spring, flywheel, new and old and have had no problems. Plus, they look better than nerf in chain guns.
