It's kind of hard to say right now because the 2020 models are just now starting to roll out. From my understanding, the only HDMI 2.1 offerings from Samsung will be on their 8K models, which are really expensive. Not sure about Sony and other brands yet. Honestly, I do recommend this TV, because it's only $500 and it gets you great specs.I suggest getting this and waiting for 2.1 and 8K to become more mainstream.

Here's how I see it: Buy an 8K, HDMI 2.1 TV now and spend $3,000 with little content to show....

Or, buy a TV like this for $500, enjoy all the content now in 4K. Wait a couple or 3 years for 8K to develop more and go down in price. Get a sweet 8K TV with HDMI 2.1 for like $1,000 or less then and actually have 8K content to watch.

Is this the best TV for Xbox Series X in terms of spec? Not interested in PS5 at all...
For the price sure. But certainly not "best" out there

Probably the best you can get spec wise for $500, but this TV doesn't have a 120hz panel or HDMI 2.1. If you're wanting more features like that, you'll have to step up quite a bit to take full advantage of the Series X. With that said, this TV will get you most of the way there, and for most games, it will get you all the way there.

You really can't expect to get the best TV for $500. This is certainly an excellent TV for the price, but if you are talking best, well, you can spend a thousand or more to get there if you are talking LG or Sony OLEDs. And really to me, best is subjective.

Make perfect sense. On top of that, the Xbox Series X will be at least $500 which make it already expensive to begin with.

$1000 vs $3500 combined of entertainment invested.

That's a lot of $ to blow!

Correct me if I'm wrong. This sells all day long at $550. So this "slick" deal is saving $50.

You're right. I was being uninformed and unrealistic.
