Drill and impact driver in the Xtreme line look pretty nice, but Dewalt's been really slow rolling out new tools. While I think Dewalt's 20V line is as good as anyone's, the 12V isn't even in the same league as Milwaukee or even Makita and Bosch.
A note when comparing prices this kit comes with traditional batteries, Amazon lists Lithium 2 batteries for $79.99 so it's kinda like you're getting a drill and a charger for free'ish – Ha! DEWALT DCB127-2 12V Max Lithium Battery, 2-Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JQ74...EEbJBNRG69
Most reviews say this is only good for small jobs. Would building outdoor wood furniture be too much for this drill the handle? I am talking specifically about the torquing of screws, and drilling into thick wood. Thats what she said. Thank you.

you obviously haven't used the Milwaukee 12V impact driver... man that thing is amazing. i grab it over any of my 18/20V stuff 90% of the time. light, small, crazy strong.
i can't speak to the DeWalt 12V stuff, but the Milwaukee 12V stuff ain't the old school crap... it's in an entirely different league.
Dewalt rebooted their 12v line last year : all brushless drill, impact driver, impact wrench, reciprocating saw... Their entry price is lower than Milwaukee.

I have a basement with 2-3 old battery drills that are not worth buying batteries for anymore because like this a new kit is cheaper - landfill waste
