Beware of cheap knockoffs. Apparently there is somebody on Steam trying to sell a game that sounds similar but they misspelled "Alex" as "Alyx".

Well yes, the game is free. But after trying it, I can see why. It's just some amateur game made by an individual. Plays in a tiny window. It's comparable to the free online flash games that used to be popular. It's not a bad effort but I think most people will just find this a waste of time.

I have to admit, after all the hype about Alex, I was excited to try it out, and it doesn't even support my VR setup.

Even worse, it doesn't have much from the other Half-Life games in it.

The real showstopper was the fact that there was no HDMI. Come on, people, it's 2020 already!
