Been debating getting a Dyson for years now... But is there a better deal on new for not much more? Or are Dyson refurbs still good? Only 6 months warranty though.

We bought a Dyson animal 2 in last black friday. The machine is a beast and it definitely has the best suction and cleaning power.
The bad side: Only after 3 months, the head brush failed.
The good side: It has 5 years warranty. After spending 10 minutes on the phone, they are sending me a new head (worth around $90 MSRP).
I was planning to buy this refurbished one for the 1st floor where it is all vinyl flooring. However, with Dyson, you would need that 5 years warranty to make up the money you paid for.. I suggest you to wait for non-refurbished deals from dyson.com.
Does this one dock on the same wall mount as the V6/7?
Probably not since it's a larger unit with more cyclones and bigger cannister. Probably heavier, too. I'm guessing Dyson makes the docks with the weight in mind, therefore different for the V10 vs a V8 or V6/7
It does come with a wall Dock, see description.

Have 2 Dysons, one old school full size vaccum and one small one like this one (DC59). Full size one is more than 8 years old, never had any issues. DC59 was bought as a refurb 6 years ago, only replaced the battery last week ($20 on amazon), never had any issues neither.
I used a friends v7 and was not impressed I picked up the v10 and man I'm so happy with it. Having a cat this one is a must. I just hope my device last. Scary to know they've only been out for a short time and already refurbs being offered. Thank you to op for post
I love my Dyson V6. But sadly my refurb upgrade attempt was an epic fail. The refurb they sent was disgusting, worn and smelly. I quickly returned it. Not worth the hassle.

Buy new or stay home.
I got a refurb V8 about a year and a half ago, and it's been great! It looked like it had been used once when I got it - certainly not worn or abused. Still going strong. I'd highly recommend the V10 at this price.
