Max-P in a slim, nice.

Now people have to choice between this bundle and the 2080 version:

That 2080 is a Max Q and it is a bigger and heavier laptop. Due to the magnesium alloy, this is one of the lightest 17" on the market.

The 2080 Max-Q outperforms the 2060 but not by a whole lot. I agree that this is a nice laptop especially for the weight, size and power.

Overall the slim bundle is certainly more appealing to me.

Amazon has the same laptop for $100 less but with a 1 TB SSD and 32 GB of ram, so twice the SSD and twice the RAM for $100 less, no bundle though.

I'm afraid that is the Eluktronics MECH-17 G1Rx, not the MAX-17. I would pick that up in a heartbeat if that was though lol

Weight on Newegg is listed at 4-4.9 lbs.

Edit: weight on the 2080 version listed earlier in the thread is 5-5.9 lbs

Does it really matter with the weight if you're buying a 17" and a gaming laptop?

Anyways, I bought a similar Alienware M17 laptop from Dell Outlet couple of hours ago for the same price. Same CPU, GPU and screen refresh rate. So, if you are a dell fanboy like me, might check their outlet for similar price. Not sure of Eluktronics build quality and hate to try that out with Newegg horrible return policy.

Ya I'd love 4k for all the non-gaming stuff I do. Text and UI looks sooo much better.

The weight and size matters for people who still want a portable 17" laptop with gaming capabilities. The Alienware M17 is +0.35" Width, +1.40" Depth, +0.027‬" Height, and +1.09 lbs. As cool as the Alienware looks, the MAX-17 is a minimalistic laptop you wouldn't mind pulling out in business meetings.

Also, mind posting a link for that deal on the M17?

I feel like they're as good as any of the recognizable name brands if not better is certain areas. You can easily talk to a real human being on the phone if you call their office and have any questions.

Yeah, it is understandable that some want a portable 17" gaming laptop. Most still take in consideration that this is not meant to be everywhere portable but rather transferable.

Here is a link to Dell's outlet, I used as many filters as possible to get close to the specs of this deal. I do not have a direct link to the laptop that I purchased today as Dell Outlet lists an item by the piece "qty 1" and once it is sold, it's not there.

The 2060 can be EluktroBoosted to 115W if that's what your asking. And the laptop has 6-Cell 91.24Whr battery.
