17-Jul-20 comment: "For anyone that got this deal, ATT has reverted plans back to the $30 plan as of July 2020. This $15 plan was not grandfathered in."

Offer ends on 5/13/20

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rollover Data is included with the plan. (Unused data carried over for one 30-day renewal)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

New Customers:
  • Upfront cost: $4.99 (+sales tax, if applicable) SIM card fee

Existing Customers:
  • Existing prepaid customers with multilines are not able to see/switch to the $15 plan at this time! Some people were able to get it after they separated their multiline account to single lines
  • For single line prepaid customers, go to this link while logged in to select the $15 plan
    https://www.paygonline.com/websc/rateplans.html
  • I can't believe this isn't highlighted yet-- if you are an existing user and switch to this plan today, you WILL LOSE your remaining duration of service that you ALREADY PAID FOR, unless today happens to be your renewal date. For example, if you paid for your $50 plan on Tuesday you should be good until Apr 22 with no balance. But if you switch to this $15 plan right now, you will NOT get a $35 credit on your account ($50-$15). Instead, you lose your $50 plan duration entirely and your service is suspended until you pay $15 to activate the new plan.

Those trying to activate with a H2O sim, use this link https://www.att.com/prepaid/activ...ivate.html

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

$15/mo does not include tax, fees, and surcharges, if applicable.
e.g. In California, $16.40 total monthly

Making a payment also seems to charge tax. ($0.66 on a $5 payment, for me)

However, when payment is deducted from a balance, the charge is $15 exactly. -RonaldM

To use a referral code, after activating, create an account on https://www.paygonline.com [paygonline.com]
On the "Make a Payment" screen, enter the referral code in the Offer Codes section. (No additional payment required to enter code.)

Afterwards, both the "Plans" and the "Add-Ons" screens should show an Account Balance (credit).

Pay attention to Balance Expiration. Making a payment ($5 minimum) will extend the Balance Expiration. ($5 extends 30 days)

Here are the steps to port your number from a different carrier to AT&T prepaid. (From: brags309)

1. Call number porting line at (888) 898-7685
2. Automated machine will ask to enter the number. The number will not be recognized and you will be transferred to a customer service person.

(When I called for the first time, I was on hold for 45 mins and then transferred over to a different customer service line that didn't handle porting)

3. Once you get hold of a rep, it's pretty easy. Give them the number you would like to port. These sims are already activated.

4. Your old number will be disconnected instantly and new number will be activated.

5. Enter new sim. Turn on the phone. You will get a text message from AT&T

6. Go to www.att.com/myprepaid [att.com] to pay $15

7. Your phone should be all set to use

So if I sign up for this how long will I be paying $15 a month for 2GB's? Because it seems this is a limited time offer to help with Covid?
New customers will only get the full 60 days if they sign up by 4/26 after that they'll only get it for 30 days. 2GB and data only plans are ineligible.

Take with a grain of salt until AT&T puts the plan on their site tomorrow. Still, a commenter on the DroidLife article regarding this deal claims they called AT&T and were told the plan only lasts for 30 days and then AT&T would evaluate extending it depending on where the coronavirus situation is at.

Seems like it's meant to compete with T-Mobile Connect which won't be going away.

This is perfect timing as my ST plan is finally done.
