Stop posting YMMV. Minor savings to risk getting yourself or someone else sick is not worth it.

The most useful person on this thread tonight. Thanks man .

While I agree with the general sentiment of all of us needing to be responsible and do our individual parts to help halt the spread of COVID-19 and change its trajectory, consider this: If someone went to Walmart to buy food or other essentials and figured why not peruse the clearance aisle while I'm here (or another department), would you begrudge them for that?

Just a note to anyone not familiar with the ultra cut polishing compound. Take care when using it, it isn't recommended that it be used with powered polishers but if you do make sure to use it on the lowest speed setting. You can burn through your clear coat or paint pretty quickly with that stuff.

Works very well on surface scratches though.

Where are you getting this (mis)information? It's one of the most popular products to be used with DA polishers..

Where were yours in the store? I expected by the other scratch products and compounds but they didn't even have tags there. My store said 6+, not that i usually trust BS, but no sign of them.

You could not be more wrong. I'm guessing that you are thinking of rubbing compound from the 60s.

M105 and M205 are made to be used with machines. It is the nature of the _machine_ that dictates how likely damage will occur. If it is a dual action polisher, the only way you will damage the paint is if you turn it over and hit the paint like a hammer. A rotary is a different story. It can burn through paint if not used correctly. But again, this is a function of the machine and not the polish.

Using a lower setting won't even correct paint using a dual action polish. Paint correction starts at 4-5 on a 1-6 speed scale.
