I researched cordless palm routers for a while before pulling the trigger and only ended up with a DeWalt DCW600B after finding a smoking hot deal on it, but only because I'm already heavily invested in the platform. I looked at this and the Ridgid pretty seriously.

This is a very solid performer and at this price, this kit is well worth it.

I really wanted the brushless hammer drill to go on sale. Guess I'll keep waiting.

The router was part of the 3 tools bundle for $99 when I bought it. It is around $70 by itself if you get it at Direct Tools Outlet. This is a fairly good deal if you need both router and starter kit. However, they had bundled the starter kit with much more expensive tools at the same price in the last 5 months.

I bought this router kit on Monday and am hoping it will be delivered today. Great price, especially when you consider they come with the 3ah HP batteries. They're great! Just be warned, shipping is running quite a bit behind out of Home Depot right now, considering everything going on. Mine was originally supposed to be delivered two days ago.

My preferred tool line is the Kobalt 24v stuff, but their tool selection is limited. Ryobi has more tool options than any other maker, so now I have both. I got their brushless jigsaw a few weeks ago on a similar ($120 with this same battery starter kit) deal and it is a GREAT jigsaw.

Recommends!

Still hoping for the cordless 18Ga Brad KIT to be $99 a kit again.

Bought this, because I've needed a router for a while and just recently invested in the Ryobi line. Does this come in one box? Or does anyone know if I can return the batteries separate? Otherwise I'd probably try to sell on Facebook or eBay, because I already have five batteries from all the other tools.

Finally Ryobi got wind of "Battery return trick" and this looks like a fix.

It sure looks like a single bundle. Applause

Awesome. I just bought the trim router last week and now I can return it in light of this deal!

FWIW I used the trim router once to round some edges and make some dado type cuts. It felt great and made a huge mess. I love it.

I've purchased a ton of these deals. I'm loving the battery deals with RYOBI. I don't have a bad word to say about RYOBI, though I know some do. I'm a happy owner of the following RYOBI products and can vouch for them: Table Saw, Brushless Drills, Brushless Reciprocating Saw, Leaf Blower, and Weed Wacker. I ordered a shop vac from them too, but haven't received it. I guess you can say I'm fully invested in RYOBI at this point, but then again I've not had a single issue with any of them so I'll continue to purchase them.

EDIT: Man that Router is tempting AF. I really want one, but I think I'm going to have to wait that one out.
Also, building a bar has been a blast.

I have this and even used it today.
Most of my tools are makita. And have two of the small electric ones. Dont like changing bits on a large job.
This cordless one is just a little slower and powerful but gets the job done.
I use a battery converter so I can use my Makita batteries with this Ryobi router.

I have much larger electric routers I use on my router table. But I use these small one handed routers and just about everything else.

But I would use my electric small makita if I was doing a demanding job. Like a very large profile bit on a 2 x 4.
