No...a 3-way rotary switch needs a specific 3-way bulb. The switch itself does not reduce voltage.

There are actually two filaments in a 3-way bulb...say for a 100 watt bulb you would have a 30-watt and a 70-watt filament. The 3-way switch allows each filament to be on separately, and then both at the same time for a total of 100-watts.
Jokes on you what makes you think we can afford houses out here?

I don't have this bulb, so I can't say from experience, but I have used a lot of different types of light bulbs, and I would say absolutely not. The only way I know of to get a dimmable bulb in a lamp like that is to get a smart bulb.

It is dimmable, so I don't see why it wouldn't work. The 3 way rotary switch reduces the voltage to 3 discrete levels. The wall dimmer has more control but still the same principle. The dimming level might not be linear though, ie the 2nd and 3rd setting might not have much difference in brightness, or the lowest setting might not power up at all if the voltage falls below a threshold for the LED driver.

Because of all their weird irrational product restrictions. Move out of CA before they drop a $50,000 property tax on every property owner for all the ridiculous state pensions that are unfunded legal liabilities they can't avoid thru bankruptcy.

Some lamps with three settings like this use a standard dimmable bulb and dim it like a normal dimmer. It depends on the lamp.

They should verify what type of bulbs they are currently using.
