Newegg has MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti DirectX 12 GTX 1660 TI VENTUS XS 6G OC 6GB 192-Bit GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card on sale for $254.99 after code and rebate.
Miss when the economy was good and the good stuff would go on sale. Now all we have are 14tb deals that sell out in 10 minutes, gold rated psus for days, and slows gpu and ram.
I mean if it's all you got it's not bad but might as well get a 2060ko ultra from evga with an associate's code discount for $285 or save some money and get the 1660super for $210.

When the economy is bad you would think non essentials would go cheaper.. no.. greed still prevails... Good, keep the shit... Let it rot in the Newegg warehouse
You don't really understand how business works do you?
If it starts to rot in the warehouse, it will come on sale for cheaper. If prices are not going down, it is because supply is limited without excess inventory or people are still buying at that price.
People who have lost their income from the pandemic weren't the target market for $300 video cards and those that did aren't going to buy on-sale video cards from the Govt handouts. People who were blowing their money on gaming rigs in the basement are still going to be blowing money being shut-in which makes no difference to their gaming habits.
Greed isn't the relevant word. Wanting to maximize profit is what every company other than a not-for-profit does.
You seem pissed that companies just aren't discounting to give you a great deal because "poor economy" but one that does not affect you enough to prevent you from indulging in your gaming. That would fit the definition of greed better.
Nvidia is a greedy company.. this years old technology is still overpriced! My main issue is that cards that handle 4k video should not be super expensive, yet they still are even in a recession that's certain to happen. If you think nvidias main market are loosers in a basement good luck with that.. Nvidia is still chasing professional paid gamers and Bitcoin.. and there will be a reckoning some day for that
So vote with your wallet - go buy AMD and show Nvidia you won't stand for it!

Extremely Well Said! Being Cheap is a hard habit to break for people but they really should try. I love reading the posts where games are 3.00 and people quote "Waiting for 2.00" Hilarious.
I haven't bought a GPU since my 1080. At the time, I spent $554. They can now be had for under $300 used on ebay. Why would anyone buy this over a used 1080?

Probably will.. waiting for more 4k content to become available and even their prices to come down. My current card is an AMD from 2013.
More 4k content??? You know PC games from the early 2000's play in 4k just fine right? I'm not sure what your waiting for
Movie and Tv.. there are movies that just don't get a 4k release even in 2020
Your waiting to buy a GPU, for more 4k movies to release......?
You know you don't need a dedicated graphics card for that right?

Need something better than my 2013 card... H265 chokes and does not offer 4k
