I just rebooked a bunch of my Southwest flights for the rest of the year. Prices went down almost 20%..
$39 is now $33
$99 is now $82
YMMV depending on airline, flights, when you booked, etc. And of course rebooking only works for Southwest.
And obviously who knows when we'll be able to fly again. But no reason not to get a discount on existing tickets.

Do you (or anyone) happen to know if there is a hold on Travel Funds or Points if you happen to cancel a flight that was previously purchased with either Travel Funds or Points? Or are they immediately available for reuse after cancellation?
Looking to re-book but don't want to risk losing seats if there is some sort of holdover with Travel Funds or points after cancelling. Thanks.

No, they are available immediately....usually. I had to cancel a recent flight and they got locked up for a while. But a call to customer service got it fixed. Could have been because it was the outbound flight of a round trip, which made it a bit more complicated.
You could also just move the flight to the new itinerary. Then you skip the step of canceling.

Go through the prompts as if you want to change your flight, search for and choose the exact same flight, and you'll see that it will add a travel credit for the difference to the confirmation number your reservation. No need to cancel and rebook.

On Southwest just book one ways. You don't save anything with round trips and especially with their new reservation system it only makes it more of a pain if you need to cancel or change.

P.S. This is a vid from a NYC MD on the front lines treating COVID-19 patients. It gives us all hope. Just follow his rules.
With us bailout money coming, airlines need to get rid of the bag fees and change fees. It's a rip off and airlines make billions each quarter on these BS fees.
Looks like all the flights that have really cheap airfare (at least for me) are the "junk" flights where you depart to your destination early evening and land late evening. If you don't care what time you land, there could be some good deals to be had.
