The game is very charming and relaxing. It's like harvest moon which is why many people like it because it's also sort of nostalgic but is definitely its own game. A lot of people like the game because it's easy to pick up, easy to run (simple graphics), and easy to play.

Totally get a weird religious cult vibe from this game, like everyone's brainwashed.
It's part harvest moon/animal crossing/rpg so it ticks a lot of boxes for a lot of people. I played for a bit and it's entertaining enough

One guy made this game all by himself over like 5 years or something like that. He programmed, did the art, music, literally everything. It's not a huge company with departments and teams to handle making the game.
