I've owned both, and the 100% cotton feels a lot better. Much cooler and softer! After using the 100% cotton, I ordered the 60/40 by mistake and ended up throwing them out. 100% cotton is that much better!

Maybe a strange question... How's the collar on these (either 100% cotton or 60/40)? I hate loose fitting/sloppy looking collars (or easily stretched/looses shape) and for whatever reason finding shirts without them is very difficult. For comparison if you're familiar, I like the collar on the Kirkland Signature Men's Crew Neck Tee. Esoteric I know. Embarass2

Polyester traps heat, cotton breathes. Polyester has its time and place but some people prefer beathability. It's why you want 100% cotton bed sheets and no microfiber/poly in them.
