Depends on your current camera. Its all about adaptability and non-adapted use.

This is the only lens of its kind as a fast constant-aperture mid-range zoom in APSC mount. And it's IQ is crazy good to boot. I used to have one but sold because I upgraded to full-frame. I still miss this lens. There is no equivalent for full frame.
Thank you for the great response. This clears things for me.
Would it be worth while to get this and add a EF-M adapter? That would literally be double the price.

How are you with the weight and size of the lens? This SIgma will weigh about 3 times the weight of the 30/1.4, so you should consider the weight of carrying one 18-35 versus having to switch between the 30/1.4 and a wider lens.

All good points... I really like my 30mm and it has the wider aperture. So I think I will keep it and in the future swap to a seperate 16mm lense with the wider aperture. for the wider shots. I am good with the weight of the 30 and anything more will make an edc pretty undesirable. Lets hope the price of the 16 drops like the 30 did.
