The quik lok trimmer has a 20" blade, this is 24". The primary difference is overall tool length: for my small boxwoods I'd prefer this tool's maneuverability but the quik lok would eliminate my neighbor's need for a ladder.

For my suburban house I use the gen II blower most often to tidy-up the driveway, clean after mowing, light leaf clean-up, and quick car clean-up (especially when we had the minivan: straight-through both sliding doors). My wife wasn't always able to start a gas blower but she will use it.

String trimmer at every mowing. (I have the pre-quik lok).

This hedge trimmer 2-4x annually. It cuts cleanly and quickly; it's a great tool. My wife's less likely to use this vs. corded because it's heavier. If you're using a gas trimmer (large hedges or far-away from the house) it's a great alternative.

It probably only saves ~10 minutes for me at each use to not need to run an extension cord but I am more likely to use it for a quick trim. And no more need to run a "loss lead" sacrificial cord.

It runs fine on a 2Ah battery and gives plenty enough runtime for me to finish. (maybe ~30 minutes+?). I don't know if the extra weight of the 5 Ah is necessary but with it I fully believe a 2+ hour runtime.
Yeah it seems weird someone would want hedge trimmers this time of the year considering everything is blooming and growing at a rapid rate right now?
Milwaukee makes some of the best power tools you can buy.
You're a pretty bad troll
Works great for those "social distancing" haircuts, too. nod

The quick lok version will be on a longer pole and I would think that is only better for really tall bushes. I wonder how that maneuvers for regular sized bushes.

I've had this regular hedge version for over a year and it beats my old corded B&D versions by a mile. Really impressed with it for my bushes that are all under 6ft.

CPOoutlets has this same deal, but you could also get a 6 pack charger (if you want the free gift with a higher flip value).

What does the six pack charger go for on the secondary market?

Looks like HD is also offering the six pack charger for the same $169 with hedger. CPO though offering the blower and six pack or battery for $159.

I have this trimmer and really like it. I almost didn't buy it because it was heavier than the other display models and also felt off balance. When I took it home and put my 5 or 9ah battery in, it's overall balance felt much better. Overall it does a great job. Getting a free battery for the same price I paid for my bare tool is a great deal.

What about versus the Ego version? I was thinking of getting that as a bare tool since I have the mower already.

This thing is awesome, been using during quarantine a lot. I use with a 9.0 battery and it chops up everything I throw at it. This deal is ok.

Thanks for posting. Took 2+ hours to do some mauling to one damn hedge I have earlier today. Saw this and decided on it instead of the $129 deal at Lowes for the 40w kobalt with battery
