Please print the certificate and present it to the membership counter at any U.S. or Puerto Rico Costco location. There, you'll complete a membership application form. At that time, your Membership Activation Certificate will be converted into a Costco membership and you'll receive your membership card.

Please note: The Membership Activation Certificate is not valid toward the renewal of an existing membership or an expired membership. Membership Activation Certificates are not valid for payment on Costco.com. Promotion valid through 12/31/2020.

A Costco membership is $60 per year. Each membership includes one additional Household Card for anyone over the age of 18 and living at the same address. May be subject to sales tax.

RESTRICTIONS: Valid for new memberships only. New members must be 18 years of age or older. To qualify as a new member, an existing Costco membership must be expired for 18 months or more. Not valid for renewal of an existing Costco membership or an upgrade of an existing membership to an Executive Membership. Costco Membership Activation Certificates are valid for a new Costco Gold Star Membership. Costco Membership Activation Certificates are not replaceable if lost, stolen or destroyed.

Limit one per household. Valid only for new members for their first year of Costco membership at any U.S. Costco location. To activate your Costco membership you must bring your Costco Membership Activation Certificate to your local Costco membership counter. New members are required to present valid government-issued photo identification before signing up for membership. To qualify for promotional incentives, you must agree to auto renewal of your Costco membership on a Visa card at the time of sign-up. If you elect not to sign up for auto renewal, incentives will not be mailed.

The $30 Costco Shop Card will be mailed to the address provided at the time of new membership sign up at the Costco location. Costco Shop Cards will be mailed within 4 - 6 weeks. You must join Costco by December 31, 2020, to qualify for the $30 Costco Shop Card incentive provided in the promotion. Membership Activation Certificates are not redeemable for cash or merchandise nor is it a debit or credit card. Costco Membership Activation Certificates are not redeemable at Costco.com or outside of the United States. Visit Costco.com to find the warehouse location near you. Membership Activation Certificates do not expire and there are no dormancy fees. Membership Activation Certificates cannot be used to purchase additional Membership Activation Certificates or a Costco Shop Card.

Costco accepts all Visa® cards, cash, checks, debit/ATM cards, EBT and Costco Shop Cards. Costco Shop Cards are not redeemable for cash, except as required by law.

Costco Membership Activation Certificate orders are fulfilled by a third-party organization. Your Costco Membership Activation Certificate will be immediately emailed to your email address provided at redemption.

Costco reserves the right to refuse to honor the Membership Activation Certificate if Costco believes a Membership Activation Certificate has been obtained by fraud or theft.

These terms and conditions will govern the use of the Membership Activation Certificate by the recipient and all subsequent known or unknown recipients or holders of the Membership Activation Certificate. Costco reserves the right to change or amend these terms in whole or in part at any time.
