I wonder how many bags would be needed to make a minimal volleyball sand lot.

Going to google now...

Update: Appears to be 600 lbs of sand needed. Smilie

So I guess that means 12 bags at the above SD price would equal $30 plus tax plus some hard work.

Right up until the wind blows.

Personally, I wouldn't use sand, but when you say "fill uneven surface on lawn", to what extent would determine the best way to fix it. If you do use sand, I would recommend polymeric sand instead of this. Play sand is very fine sand and is easy to blow away. Polymeric sand bonds together. So if you're pouring it in a crack,it's not going to blow out as easily since it's using also sand to hold it in place, making it stronger.

If you consider play sand, when you run over it with the lawnmower, that alone will blow the sand around. You'll likely just end up redoing the project.

That doesn't seem right. Regardless, call a landscaping supply and get a dump truck worth to start with. Not this.

Yes, 600 lbs will do it... if you are talking about 1" of coverage

Better yet, dont do it at all. As a previous person who inherited an idea like this from a previous home owner, dont do it. Lol
