Any New Yorker who wants one can get three free meals a day at more than 400 Meal Hubs across the city.
Meals can be picked up at all Meal Hubs 7:30 am to 1:30 pm, Monday through Friday
Meals Hubs will operate for children and families from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, and for adults from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
No one will be turned away at any time
All adults and children can pick up three meals at one time
Vegetarian and halal options available at all sites
No dining space is available, so meals must be eaten off premises
Parents and guardians may pick up meals for their children

As the immediate and ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States continues to evolve, World Central Kitchen is working to identify needs across the country and how to respond most effectively. Beginning Tuesday, March 17, WCK will distribute thousands of fresh, individually packaged grab-and-go meals to local families.
These meals are available to anyone in the area who needs extra support during this uncertain time. Using our expertise as a food logistics organization, we are distributing meals at the designated sites listed below during lunchtime. They are individually-packed fresh meals, ready to heat at home.

I wonder how they are addressing large groups of people gathering to pick these up. Perhaps the 6ft tape social distancing system stores are doing... I wish it mentioned it. Such a gathering could ironically be a vector for spreading the disease further.

YMMV but in the two days I've gone there was nobody there (went in the late mornings). The food is decent and you can get for multiple people even though they aren't present. You get cereal, milk, juice, sandwiches (peanut butter and jelly, peanut butter, turkey and cheese, grilled cheese), sunchips, chocolate chip cookies (sealed), fruits (apples and oranges), yogurt.
There's a school two minutes away from my house, got home in less than ten minutes without any contact with another person other than the person giving you the food (they put it on a table and you pick it up)
