Bought this 2-3 months ago, at a similar price... just wanted to note for others: For connecting to Xbox X (maybe S also), you MUST turn OFF the VRR (variable refresh rate) in the settings of the Xbox console. If not, you'll get a "tear," flickering or screen cut-out at times. This is widely noted if you search on this topic. I "think" it affects B, C, E series.
LG has a firmware patch out for this in their Europe versions, but not yet on the US ones.
If others have a different fix for this, please note it or send me a PM!
Hope this helps.
Non authorized retailer. No Lg warranty. Costco has the C9 55" in brick and mortar stores with a free 3 year square trade warranty, bringing total warranty to 5 years for the same price. iElectrica has the same price and deals through multiple ebay stores. I'm guessing this is where this deal is coming from.
It's the same price for the B9.. not the C9.. however yea.. a 5 year warranty is pretty dang impressive! (Slick even?)

Insane price, especially if you think about it as a gaming monitor. For the size and image quality, nothing compares.

How are you getting to 5 years? From what I understand, you need to get the Square Trade Warranty as soon as you get the TV, and it does NOT activate after manufacturer warranty is up but runs concurrently and activates/starts as soon as you buy the TV, so 3 years total.

No, Squaretrade warranty starts when your manufacturer warranty ends. Since you'd be buying the tv from costco your manufacturer warranty extends from 1 year to 2 years just for purchasing from costco. At that point the square trade warranty applies. It says right in the square trade literature that was printed for me when I purchased the c9 oled a week or so ago. First 2 years are manufacturer, then 3,4, and 5th year are covered through squaretrade.
Aint too many sales compared to last years April/May model phase outs in which I nabbed a C9 65" for $1000 at Walmart (55" was like $750). Patiently waiting for that to happen hopefully this month but our current situation makes us unsure if we'll make a hospital trip or not

How did you get a c9 for 1000 right after they were released? You must mean a c8
