My understanding is GW2 is no longer supported where Battle for Neighborville still receives updates. A lot of people complain about GW2 on PC due to the fact that the devs stopped supporting it in July of 2019 and around November of 2019 they stopped banning players and it's plagued with cheaters/hackers ruining games.
GW2 is not relevant anymore. BFN is still in it's golden age with content updates and balancing.
GW2 has sticker packs and variants (around 80 more characters than BFN) but Peashooter, and Chompersp ruin the game.
BFN has more options to upgrade characters, updated and managed, entire costumes for each character, a ton better PVE options. The cons are there are limited things to unlock, you can be team killed by sap trap, and no damage drop off.

Get Garden Warfare 2. Hell, now you should be able to get GW2 with all the content for a crazy price.
I loved GW2, and this game is not that. I think fans need to try it, to really understand what I mean. I'd pull the trigger for $5. Or, like Zantra3000 suggested, get EA access.
I was able to ditch my physical copy last month for $20. Good riddance.
