One thing to be aware of: the plates are nonremovable. I like my waffle makers to have removable irons so I can put them in the dishwasher. Keeping this clean is going to be a PITA.

If you already own a Cuisinart Griddler, you can buy a set of waffle-making plates [amazon.com] on Amazon for $30 (sometimes on sale). Yes, it costs more, but it makes larger waffles, they'll take up less space in your cabinet, and you will be able to keep them clean much more easily.

Yes I agree. I threw away my previous bella waffle maker due to the difficulty with cleaning the non-removable plates. thanks for this link, i'll check out the plates
