I wonder what machines the 8 core/16 thread i7-10875H will be showing up in. I hope they dont reserve it for like $2k machines. That's the one I'm most interested to see competing against the new Ryzen 8 core/16 thread mobile chips that are showing up in laptops under $1500 already.

Good luck cooling that i7-10875H in any current gen laptops unless some manufacturer design a new cooling solution. i7-9750h hardly performs up to its capacity in any of the laptops except Mag 15 and similar chassis etc.

Why is this one so expensive? The Lenovo 7i with the same CPU and an RTX 2070 is gonna be $1200.

I'd only advise buying from Costco right now if you're willing to wait. I ordered two different laptops from them mid- March (both showed a delivery time of 3-5 business days), and have yet to get either one. I've called multiple times (usually at least an hour wait) just to be told that the orders can't be cancelled because they're preparing for shipment, but that they can't tell me when they'll actually ship.

To add insult to injury, both items still list the 3-5 day delivery time.

I'm well aware, just want to see head to head there. No idea how Intel is able to boost these same chips from 4.5ghz on 9750h to 5.0ghz on the 10750H and 5.1ghz on the 10875H.

Looking forward to the inevitable bob of all trades reviews on these basically saying even with an undervolt you're lucky to get there, lol

On the flipside it's aggravating the initial Ryzen 4xxxx gaming laptops are being held back by a crappy 65w 2060 max q. Put the full fat 80w-115w cards in there please.

I agree, 1200 for a new 2070 max q is pretty good but It will probably have a 256 HD and 8 ram

dispute the charge? Claim you haven't got it, they won't cancel the order and won't say when it will ship. Show the credit card company the 3-5 day shipping quote. Costo's in breach of contract, didn't ship.

I'd be surprised if it doesn't have 16gb RAM. If it does then it will be a killer laptop for the price.

I'm in no hurry to get these, and it was a good deal, so I'm holding off a little longer before filing a dispute, but thanks.

That's easy, because not all the cores are in use at those frequencies. Sure, the process will boost to 5.1GHz... when only 1 or 2 cores are in use. In today's world where even games are making more and more multi-threaded that's just not a reality anymore. It's more marketing at work.

Take a look at how the actual boost clocks are set if you ever get the chance.
