The WINDFORCE 3X cooling system features three 82mm unique blade fans, an alternate spinning fan, five composite copper heat pipes, heat-pipe direct touch and 3D active fan functionality. All together, these features deliver an effective heat-dissipation capacity for higher performance at lower temperatures.

wait a few months for 3000 series to be announced if you dont need one now, these cards are horribly overpriced
I agree. If you have an AMD 5XX or a GTX 10XX series card, I'd definitely wait it out. If people keep purchasing these overpriced cards it will only serve as justification for the prolonged price gouging.
The 1080 Ti was a fluke. Possibly the best performance per cost ever made besides the 8800 GT / GTX. Probably never going to happen ever again. If you managed to get one before the prices skyrocketed. Lucky you.
I wasn't so lucky but I still managed to replace my GTX 770 (which I sold for $180) to a GTX 1070 Ti (brand new for $240) almost two years ago. Virtually no price difference and a huge performance increase. I'll wait for the next round of cards from AMD and nVidia and next Gen consoles before upgrading my card.
Right now I can play most of my racing games in 1440p or even 4K 60 with most settings maxed out. I'm alright.
Why do these manufacturers create a zillion skus for pretty much the same product and sell at different prices?
It's just like silicon lottery. some GPU die's will clock better due to it & the cooling setup they develop.
Their will be some better than other's if u take the price increase with it. Just like any manufacturing same product but some yield better quality or performance in this case.

You think they have any reason to not price gouge the next generation? Don't act like they are going to be any kind of "deal" right out the gate.
obviously the new cards will be around MSRP but the 2000 series cards will bottom out in price very quickly there kiddo. it happens every generation of cards. just buy quick when you see the prices bottom out, its a fine line because the stock will probably run out pretty quick, its par.

you are making alot of assumptions that certainly cant be backed by past trends. Nvidia launched Turing 2 years ago and folks loved them so much they bought Pascal, not because pascal was on sale but because Turing was even higher priced
We are a long way from cards bottoming out especially the high end where nvidia is and has been competing with itself.
its just a dick measuring contest between brands. its about having more skus and showing some new cards every so often because the architecture came out 2 years ago and they have to milk it somehow. Folks dont wanna buy a 2 year old card, they want a "new" card hence all the damn skus.
Its mostly for the colours and looks above all else, when it comes to choosing which version of a card you want, the difference in performance from manufacturer to manufacturer is negligible.
each brand has different clock speeds and cooling, Higher Clocks/warranty= EVGA

so 1 should be binned better than the other and allow for better OC'ing.

Better Temps/overclock = GIGABYTE/MSI
Both worlds = ASUS
