I think the $324 including a double charger is a better deal. That's actually way better bundle than they had on black friday

Sorry for a stupid question, I know retail is $400 but how great a deal is this?

I see you can get a 7 hero black for $200 from Costco - not sure If that's a new thing.

I just grabbed Costco deal, for me, that deal is better. The new features on 8 are not worthy that extra $$. If you have one older than hero 4 or 5, you should buy 8 instead of 7 in my opinion. 7 Black is def good enough for normal use

Good lord the go pro 8 stabilization is so much better than the 7 it's black magic.

It has its drawbacks.

If you mount it on a car, when you turn left, the video will pan right. Infuriating.

Basically if you're using it on anything where the direction of travel is obvious (boats, kayak, drone, etc) , the video will be wrong.

I'm really curious to see how this stabilization works with my custom camera mount that "moves" with the car. I have a feeling the stabilization will make it super funky

these are great deals but many people have the amex offer they are trying to use; don't forget the max is a good camera, too. I have both.
