Just an FYI, this is a U1 card not a U3 card. It does 100mbps read but not write. It's great for tablets and gaming consoles but not for 4K video cameras.
Thanks for asking the question. Sounded like the enemies of the justice league

Yeah, it seems like WM, Zon and NE all tend to compete on tech stuff.

Thank you both, ordered one from Amazon. Just bought the Viofo A129 Pro Duo today and was planning to wait on the SanDisk Max Endurance 256GB release. Though it's currently priced ~$80; difficult to justify the additional storage space at this time/price.

Good deal! I bought one back a couple of months back for $35. Stock up if you think you'll need it later for things like dashcam or camera.

For those who have Yi outdoor cameras, do you have to format these micro SD cards on a PC before you place them in the slot or can you place them directly without formatting?

Aren't the EVOs a better deal with U3 vs these with U1?

It is not since the read performance is not spectacular. It's more for continuous writes and occasional reads.

This card has write speed of up to 30MB/s which is enough for the great majority of consumer 4K cameras. For example, Sony alpha mirrorless cameras have a max 4K bit rate of 100 Mbps which is equivalent to 12.5MB/s.

Where you DO want to get a card with a high write speed is when doing still photography, specially when doing burst shooting.

If you have a 1080p camera that does continuous recording.. no. The endurance is better for longevity and continuous write cycles and extreme temperatures than the evo. Those are cheaper and faster though. Each has it's pros and cons.

Even the new Galaxy S20 with its 8K mode supposedly only requires 10MB/s(this card averages 33MB/s), why limit your statement to 1080P?
