Some I remember: new engine/supplier (so reliability is unproven), side gas tank vs top front, no fuel gauge, 10lbs lighter somehow..

not as nice looking and it's just the parallel wires connected to a molded L5-30 plug and not a large plastic box thing etc
or you could make you own for ~ $10 in materials
