Personally, unless I know that the chain is really sound financially, staying away from buying gift cards. There is a really big danger that some of the chains won't survive and selling future sales at a discount is one way for some of these people to raise money. Carnival cruise lines did it with bonds with some obscene interest rates and these guys are doing through Gift cards at rates that can exceed the interest rate that Carnival paid.
But is a really good discount if you are planning on ordering from them in the next few weeks anyways but note that not valid for online orders. Not sure what that means for using them in the next few weeks.

A bigger concern I have these GCs is you can't use online since a lot of these chains use olo etc.
