OP, recommend you update the price in the title. $69 is the original price for the TP02 filter. When you add it to you cart, it drops down to $34.99. People who are unfamiliar with the Dyson filters might think, "Normally $138 for a dyson filter???? Whaaaaaaaat?????"

I've been looking at some generic ones to try out since the OEM are so expensive. Was going to maybe try this deal but it looks filters for mine are out of stock. I guess I'll order a generic one and see how it goes. Not sure I'll be able to tell if the filtering is up to par with OEM, as long as a cloud of dust or stinky smell doesn't come out of it when use it I'll take that as a good sign for a generic.

How does everyone determine when their filter needs changing? Is it by visual inspection or are there other signs that a filter needs to be swapped?

If its an older air purifier they aren't likely to restock it. I notice Dyson stops making replacement parts when products are discontinued. Its their way of forcing you to buy their newer and "better" products. I have seen this for their vacuum filters and batteries.
