Why would anyone want this for $900? Manufacturers seem to think nvme flash storage is expensive. 500gb is the new minimum.

I've been shopping for the surface 6 or 7 lately. As of the past few months, the prices on these have been very high. Some slickdealers have found a 7 bundle around $700 but that is the same price as it was at launch. Now there are new products such as surface X and go 2 (launching soon) but the prices on these reflect stores knowing we all got stimulus checks/tax returns. I'm waiting on a lower price. Such a premium on only 256gb storage.

So tempted, I want this or an iPad for note taking and reading, as well as some gaming. I've had an iPad but got annoyed with the "gaming" on it, where as a surface would let me play more games like Diablo and Settlers 2.
