CA wants us to be energy efficient but won't let them ship these to CA, what dumbasses.
I just bought this exact pack from Amazon a couple weeks ago. So far, they're good quality and hopefully hold up better than the comparably priced EcoSmart (HD brand). Of the 30-40 EcoSmart bulbs I've used in the past couple years, a lot have failed after just a year of regular usage (1-2 total hours a day, maybe 5-10 cycles). A bit disappointing to see LEDs with worse life than incandescents...

Any coupon codes for Home Depot that can reduce this even further?

Must be some type of proposition restriction not permitting this to be shipped to CA from Hd/Amzn, wth.

If you plan to go food shopping at a ShopRite, they were selling a 4 pack for $1.99, I went Thursday so they might of updated the price.

They have to be "certified" by the state as efficient. Too bad the state itself is inefficient at certifying lots of different bulbs, so only a select few brands and models are considered certified, even if they're just as energy efficient.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I bought 50+ EcoSmart bulbs about 2.5 years ago. I've lost at least 8 of them. Honestly it was the lowest-use ones that died first.

Additionally, I've had Feit Electric bulbs try to burn my house down...twice.

Over the last ~10 years I've had the best luck with GE and Philips bulbs. I think I'm going to stick with those, as much as it pains me to pay for the big brands.

Depending on your area and local utility incentives, you can sometimes buy GE bulbs for $1/4-pack. That's when I stock up.

FYI HomeDepot is taking a long time to ship these to home. I ordered on 4/13 and haven't been shipped yet.

California should be going after less efficient power consuming computer power supplies, and cable TV boxes that don't go in standby, instead of trying to put a Band-Aid on LED inefficiencies.

IDK, 3000k or greater bulbs tend to be brighter per lumen. So perhaps we'll end up seeing more of those in the near future, because theyre more likely to meet California standards by default?

Here's a 24 pack for $23.60, of 3000k, and ships to California:
