After coupon 23671. This made FP at 180. I couldn't find a ton of cheap third party toners online so this is probably not for those who want the cheapest prints per page. eBay has a few but quality is questionable. However, the performance beats anything under the 200-300 dollar segment.

3 year warranty versus 1, 1GB versus 256MB of RAM, 40ppm versus 36, expendable tray versus none for the brother. For home use, the brother is better as it has a smaller footprint and cheaper prints per page, but for office use the Canon imho is a much better choice.
And this is coming from someone who just bought the 2750dw. No buyers remorse for me as I really like the 2750dw but this Canon for 140 is excellent. Plus it comes with a full sized 3000+ page toner that will last most people a long ass time.

Got it. I was thinking of comparing with brother 2750. but nevermind you can get that for less than 175$. How heavy compared to brother 2750? I was about to buy 2750, good you explained the difference. But do you think its better than brother for home use?
If you're buying it in the office where a ton of people are going to use it the Canon is better as it's designed to be used often. But I think it comes down to the initial cost. This printer is an absolute steal at 140 dollars. The 2750dw is 199 right now at most places and 250 at Staples.
It's a toss up but if I'd had to do it again I would buy the Canon today. I print maybe 100 sheets a month and this Canon would last me at least 2.5 years.

It's just a marketing decision. They cut it to 1 per person too. Not sure if it was like that when it was $180, recently.
Here's my error. [prntscr.com] On the phone right now.

I'm in the place order page. Not clicked yet. waiting for the egift card delivery. But no problem with adding to the cart till final page.
By the way what is smaller footprint? doesn't know the exact terminology with that
In most Brother vs. Canon comparisons, one of the things that people forget is that Canon toner cartridges incorporate the drum. So, each time that you replace most Canon laser toner cartridges, you're replacing that particular drum. With Brother, most of their laser toner cartridges do not include the drum, so you have to factor in the drum replacements into the calculations. Both are excellent brands, and I am only mentioning this to remind people to run their calculations on an apples to apples basis.
