Vitamix v1200 is also $100 off like explorian e320 on costco website. I could not find the deal in warehouse yesterday.

Use discover 5% online for extra savings.

v1200 is similar to ascent series but no touch screen. Unit comes with 20oz and 8oz blending bowls along with standard 64oz wet containers.

Also containers are on sale at costco.com

How's this compare to the other Costco Vitamix deal. I'm a newbie when it come to Vitamix blender. I'm in the market to replace my kitchenAid blender. Also, I'm not interested in the smart blender neither.

All Vitamix blenders yield the exact same results. The only differences in each model is which accessories are included and some units have an automatic timer to stop blending depending on what your making. One is based on a preset selection of what your blending, one is a timer you set yourself and the other is a manual knob you turn on and off. Considering most things take less than a few mins I went with manual to save a $100 bucks.

Venturist is costco specific Vitamix model. I was looking for 80z/20oz containers. E320 needs adaptor for 20oz (8oz is not supported on E320 by Vitamix) but this one does not. So went with this and bought dry container as well.

The Venturist has been available on Amazon, manufacturer renewed, a few times for $260. I use mine several times a week.

That one did not come with the 8oz container (separately it's $30 for a two pack), scraper ($15), or tamper-holder ($30!) shown here.

Also, this one has a 10-year warranty, while the renewed one has a 5-year warranty.

You will need separate blade for 8 and 20oz containers

Not sure what you're responding to in my comment, but the differences I noted are accurate: both this one and the renewed one come with the separate blade.

Is the 48oz dry container compatible with Vitamix 5200 model? It's listed as not compatible in Costco page but seemingly identical item in Vitamix website is compatible. You just don't get the smart feature

Can some one clarify this for me?

I think it is compatible. I have seen costco rep video about it. Call vitamix to confirm.

The new ascent/smart containers are supposedly backwards compatible with the classic blenders.

If you ask me then yes 5yr vs 10yr. Also this is minor the refurb one missing few items as well (plunger,8oz bowl and scraper).

Got mine yesterday and works good. I like the App method to automatically configure mixture cycle.
