Simmons Beautyrest BRX-800 10" Hybrid Coil and Memory Foam Mattress-in-a-Box
Internet reviewers are often making big referral money on mattress sales, so their reviews are dubious. There is huge corruption in the bed-in-a-box industry. This article is an eye-opener: https://www.fastcompany.com/30659...tress-wars
It looks like someone is promoting these mattresses. This is not even a deal and still coming up every week..
And it ain't goin back in that box for a return...

I've never had a mattress that comes in a box, does it have any effect on the structure of the mattress over time?
I don't have this brand (I have a zinus), but I have had mine for more than a year. After taking it out and letting it air out, it has stayed it's shape. Mine is one of the hybrids that has the foam and coils.

None at all. These are essentially foam mattress, so they're vacuum sealed in order to be rolled up and boxed, just as depicted in the photos. Once you break the seal and remove the plastic it's wrapped in, it expands to its size and you're ready to go!

That's correct. But as it turns out, this vendor specifically states that they don't accept returns for mattresses due to hygienic reasons anyway, so it's important for would-be buyers to research extensively before deciding to purchase.

I suppose no mattress can be sold once returned, for hygienic reasons. Nice to have some protection if you don't like it though. Hard to find specific models in showrooms to even try for a short period.

That sounds pretty cool actually.. How long do they take to expand?

Why foam and coils? is that better than having one OR the other?
My exact question also! Parents are looking to replace their mattress and wanting to get them a new one.
Been binge-watching compressed mattress videos for about a half-hour now the internet seems to be very pleased with these kinds of mattresses and who am I to argue with strangers on the internet......
