QA Edit: Seems the 50% off appliance part of this deal may have died but users as of today 5/1 still say they're getting the 50% off on open box TVs still. So we will let this thread stay in Hot Deals for another day or so, for users that still can get it.

I was shopping around for a new washer/dryer, and picked out a pair by LG. Called in to the store to find out what might be damaged on the washer since you can't go in and see it. The Best Buy website lists the open box price as $695.99. They went over and looked at it, told me about the scuffs, and then mentioned "oh, and the open-box promotion brings it down to $347.99
I bought it, then called the other Best Buy that had the matching dryer, also as open-box. I asked them what was wrong with it, and about the price since "another Best Buy said you're running an open box promotion" and we all know that could be specific to one location or whatnot. The guy on the phone said the price I got the washer for was crazy, he'd never heard of such a thing. He went to explain that open box pricing changes all the time depending on the new item sale prices etc, but he'd ask his manager. He came back and said that there's an additional coupon he has to scan, for 50% off open box major appliances. The Geek Squad extended warranty price is based on the price you pay, not MSRP, so that also goes down in price should you be interested.
Pricing on the website does NOT reflect this promotion. You must call the store so they can scan the coupon, and pay over the phone. My order doesn't show any SKU for a coupon, just the super-low price.

That said, I'm taking my chances on a new Samsung fridge that my cousin has had for the past year and loves, mainly because of the French doors for the freezer, the versatility of the bottom right can be a fridge or freezer, and the gimmicky "instaview" fridge door. I'm using my Costco card and buying additional warranty though. (Got this for just over $1k)
Samsung - 27.8 Cu. Ft. 4-Door Flex French Door Fingerprint Resistant Refrigerator with Food ShowCase - Stainless steel
Sku 4930900
Picking it up tomorrow.
Original Price new is $3149.99
Open Box price online is 2074.99 (Satisfactory)
The process I went through was the following:
1- Looked for what I wanted and then call the store for availability of the open box item. No mention of the promotion or anything. They mentioned they had it in stock but open box only and "other stores have it new." I asked what was made it Satisfactory, and the only thing was that it was "missing documentation."
2- Asked for a quote on how much it was for that open box item. It was $1824.99 (note the higher price online). I then asked to make a purchase over the phone. Still no mention of the promotion or anything.
3- They put another person in the phone for the transaction and they began to ring it up. Once they told me how much my total would be, I mentioned that I have a coupon with a SKU and asked if they can see if it applies to the item. I provided the SKU (5711631) for the coupon and they were more than happy to try it out. Sure enough it worked. The price was brought down to about $900 before taxes.
If it didn't work at this point, I would have cancelled the purchase and try another store.
Just be polite to the guys you talk to and chances are, they'll be more than willing to help you out too!
If the promotion is still on tomorrow and Friday, hopefully this approach can help somebody here out too.
Thanks OP iotashan for posting the deal and FattyMcFatFaceButt for posting the scan!
Said satisfactory on the website
Called, and the woman told me it had never been out of the box! $500 sale price off, plus $1000 open box discount.
The other fridge I was looking at was the LG french doors with instaview and two freezer drawers. I ultimately decided to go with the Samsung primarily because of the french freezer doors. Keeping a sliding freezer drawer(s) organized is just a pain and the door can easily get stuck when it's not organized well - which admittedly happens in my house.
Good luck to both of us (if you decide to give this Samsung fridge a shot)!
I asked for an hour check and to see if there were any issues. No dead pixels, no splotches and no burn in. 250 hours on the unit; it was placed on display in January. Aparently they had 2 or 3 C9s on display.
When I picked up I inspected the TV and it was flawless; it did have some dust on the stand. No dead pixels, no damage. They did an awesome job bubble wrapping the unit and I had 3 guys help load it into the car.
Took home, plugged in and turned on. Verified 250 hours. Reps were helpful and honest.
Southfield still had 1 C9 left for the same price, but it was missing the stand and the remote.
I would strongly recommend at least the 3 year GS plan for this TV. While I love OLEDs, the burn in issue is real and I have a 18 month old. I got the 5 year plan and I dont trust the little guy to not put the thing on pause with a video game or something.

I also bought a new fridge through this sale. Would have gone with a Samsung had it not been for my shitty washer. Ended up going with a whirlpool bc the appliance service guy fixing my Samsung told me that whirlpool is the brand he sees the least issues with.

As for washers, I highly highly recommend LG. They clean well, haven't given me any issues, and seem to be the top brand for residential washers.
