The Aukey and other ones were around $15 with 45W PD. Absurd to have this FP.

Yes, I have one of the other kind, and actually another that I picked up for $9 at Marshalls . Both work great, and show 45W in Mac power panel, so all validated.

If the USB-A ports on this are QC /Samsung etc. fastcharging, that'd be something to talk about. I can't quite tell.

Otherwise, save your money.

They are standard 5v2.4a ports. This is a terrible deal, Monoprice has https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=33467 and https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=33045 for the same price. 6 months less warranty, but 60 watt USB C port and QC3.0 ports on one, and 87 watt USB C port on the other.

Yes. crazy promoting this to FP. It should be on WP , Worst deals Page. Trying to shove worst deals down gullible SD'ers throats.

It would be even good IF they could charge at 2.4A when everything is plugged in, but if you do the math, it's not even close. It's 60W total, with the PD @ 30W. So the rest of the 4 ports have to share 30W. 5V at 2.4A is approx 12W, meaning only 2 out of those 4 ports are even usable at 2.4A, leaving the other ports crippled at maybe 3W per port, so like 5V @ 0.5A. If you plug all 4 in, I'm assuming it will share the power equally, so 30W / 4 = measly 7.5W per port.

It's pointless to have 5 ports when only 3 are really going to be any use at all for charging. I can't recall if I even have any devices that would only charge at 0.5 - 1A nowadays.

I would much rather see a device with 18W PD ports x 4, then I could really charge most (except a laptop) of my mobile devices with one charger.

How well does monoprice play with MacBooks? The second one's now discontinued. Thanks!

The 60 watt charger I have now seemed to charge my neighbors 13 inch MBP pretty well. I'm pretty sure it said 60 watts input on the laptop.

And holy crap, that sucks that they discontinued the 87 watt one. I guess you could get the 136 watt Zendure charger if you wanna test that out. I've been eyeing it for a while, but I just can't bring myself to spend that much
